First game of the day on Thursday is Florida vs. Mississippi State, and the Bulldogs are probably in a win-and-in situation for the NCAA Tournament.

They can't make a shot in the second half, though. Might be playing their way out of March Madness.

Oh, and the winner gets Alabama on Friday.

Jones' last-second 3 went off the rim. First game of the day is going to OT. How fitting is that?

I think Alabama would much prefer to face Florida on Friday. State may not be the best team, but it's really good defensively.

Final: Mississippi State 69. Florida 68

They're playing it up like the Bulldogs locked up a March Madness spot. "Everyone knows we needed this win," Tolu Smith said on his way off the court.

Wendell Green's heave at the buzzer falls short, and Auburn loses to Arkansas and goes one-and-done at the SEC Tournament under Bruce Pearl again.

Alabama isn't messing around.

Halftime: Alabama 41, Mississippi State 21

Defense looks outstanding, Bulldogs shooting 26 percent.

The Crimson Tide with a stellar start to the weekend in Nashville. Blue-collar points have to be out the wazoo — diving on the floor and holding the Bulldogs just over 20 points. Need 20 more minutes of that.

"Our guys kept playing hard," Oats said.

Added that Quinerly at the start made them a little more aggressive. "The shots are going to fall." They made eight 3s.

Alabama used 11 different players.
