SALIM LONDON, HOOVER: Had 20 points, five rebounds and four assists as the Bucs beat Alexander High School of Douglasville (GA) in the MLK National Showcase at Thompson High School. Four players managed double figures for Hoover with Jarett Fairley scoring 19 points with 15 coming on five 3-pointers. Dewayne Brown also had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Brown added 20 points, six rebounds and four blocked shots in Hoover’s 83-62 win over Tuscaloosa County in a Class 7A Top 10 battle, and London led the Bucs with 20 points, including 11 during key fourth-quarter rally, as Hoover beat Vestavia Hills 64-61..
